The Karunya Plus lottery, which operates under the Kerala Lottery Scheme, is drawn every Thursday and boasts an exciting prize structure consisting of three main prizes. Additionally, there is a second prize of Rs. 10,00,000 bestowed upon a single winner, while the third prize of Rs. 1,00,000 is split amongst twelve winners. It is essential to note that the top three prizes are only valid if the alphanumeric characters on the ticket match the serial number precisely. In the KL lottery ticket number system, each ticket bears a unique six-digit number with two alphabetic characters such as PP 000000. The fourth to eighth prizes are awarded to participants whose last four digits match the respective numbers drawn and are Rs. 5000, Rs. 1000, Rs. 500, and Rs. 100, respectively.

Kerala Karunya Plus Prize Claim Procedure

Winners of the Kerala Karunya Plus Prize are required to claim their prize within 30 days from the draw date. The Director of State Lotteries must receive the first and second winning ticket, along with all necessary documents, either in person or through an insured registered post or Nationalised, Scheduled Banks, State, or District Co-operative Banks. Winners can claim prizes up to Rs.1,00,000 from lottery sub-offices or district lottery offices. However, those living outside Kerala with prize claims exceeding Rs.1,00,000 must present their claims before the Director of State Lotteries. Winners must sign their name on the back of the ticket in the provided space. The prize money will only be paid out after the authenticity of the ticket has been validated with counterfoils or any other means decided by the Director. Claims made for mutilated or tampered tickets will not be accepted. It is important to note that each ticket is eligible for only the highest prize awarded on it. Finally, according to the Finance Act (Central), Income Tax and Surcharge will be deducted at source from the prize money.
