On a weekly basis, the Kerala Lottery Scheme’s Fifty Fifty lottery is drawn every Wednesday and offers three main prizes. The top prize, which is only granted to one lucky winner, is an astonishing amount of Rs. 1,00,00,000. There is also a second prize of Rs. 10,00,000 awarded to an individual and a third prize of Rs. 5,000 shared among twelve winners. It’s essential to note that the 8 alphanumerical digits on the ticket must match the serial number exactly for the first three prizes to be valid. Each ticket has a unique six-digit number with two alphabets, such as FF 000000, in the KL lottery ticket number system. The fourth to eighth prizes are given to those whose last four digits match the respective numbers drawn and are Rs. 2000, Rs. 1000, Rs. 500, and Rs. 100, respectively.

Kerala Fifty Fifty Prize Claim Procedure

To claim the Kerala Fifty Fifty Prize, the winners must act fast and submit their claims within 30 days from the date of the draw. In order to claim the prize, the first and second winning ticket, along with all necessary documents, must be presented in person to the Director of State Lotteries or sent via an insured registered post or through Nationalised, Scheduled Banks, State, or District Co-operative Banks.

Prize amounts up to Rs.1,00,000 can be claimed by winners from the Lottery sub-offices or District Lottery Offices. However, if you are a winner residing outside Kerala and your prize claim exceeds Rs.1,00,000, you must present your claim before the Director of State Lotteries. The winners must sign their name on the back of the ticket in the provided space. It is crucial to note that each ticket is eligible to win only the highest prize awarded on it. Claims for mutilated or tampered tickets will not be accepted, so winners must take care of their tickets.

The authenticity of the ticket will be verified with counterfoils or any other means decided by the Director before payment of the prize money. It is important to keep in mind that according to the Finance Act (Central), Income Tax and Surcharge, if any, will be deducted at source from the prize money. So, winners should be prepared for this deduction when claiming their prize.
